The Washington Commanders hold the No. 11 overall pick in the upcoming 2022 NFL draft. Washington’s biggest need is at quarterback, but many draft analysts feel there isn’t a quarterback worthy of selecting at No. 11. - With no clear-cut No. 1 quarterback in the upcoming draft, it makes sense that Washington head coach Ron Rivera is looking to find a quarterback via trade this offseason. However, that’s far from a guarantee. - Daniel Jeremiah, the NFL Network’s top draft analyst, completed his most recent mock draft last week and had Washington selecting Texas A&M guard Kenyon Green at No. 11. Although the Commanders will need to replace Pro Bowl right guard Brandon Scherff, it was a bit of a surprise. - It’s not a surprise anyone gave Washington a position other than quarterback, but a mild surprise it wasn’t at least a linebacker like Georgia’s Nakobe Dean. - Jeremiah held his first conference call of draft season this week ahead of the NFL combine and covered several topics, including Washington’s pick at No. 11. - Here are five observations from Jeremiah’s media session. -
