This week, Washington Wire is counting down the top five Washington Football Team performers for the 2021 season. - No. 2 Terry McLaurin (WR) - Terry McLaurin was a top priority for Washington this season and will be a top priority in the offseason as well. - McLaurin led the team in targets (130), receptions (77), receiving yards (1,053), receiving touchdowns (5), receptions per game (4.5), receiving yards per game (61.9), and scrimmage yards per touch (13.7). - The former third-round pick — No. 76 overall — out of Ohio State in the 2019 NFL Draft, had 100+ receiving yards in four games in the 2021 season (11-107 vs the NY Giants, 6-123 at Atlanta, 7-122 at Green Bay, and 5-103 at Carolina). - In his three seasons, McLaurin has started in all 46 games he has played, accumulating 222 receptions for 3,090 yards (13.9 ypr), 16 receiving touchdowns and 141 receiving first downs. - The 2022 season will be the final year of McLaurin’s four-year rookie contract, where he is scheduled to make $3.8 million.
