Other negro baseball leagues in 1948:
NNL
Kansas City won the first half of the season, Birmingham won the second half, and met in a play off series. The NNL and the NAL faced each other in the Negro World Series at the end of the season to determine an overall champion. After MLB integration in 1948, the league and its teams operated mostly as barnstorming units, and negro league baseball effectively came to an end.
