1922 Negro Season
No Champion Declared
League Note
Due to the lack of historical record keeping in negro league baseball, some of the scores, standings, and statistics of independent teams are missing or incomplete.
Even after the creation of the Negro National League in 1920, and later the Eastern Colored League, many teams were not invited, or chose not to join. Instead, they played as independents, and would often schedule the barnstorming of small towns and play local semi-pro teams as well as league games. By the mid 1930s, most independent teams had joined the NAL or NNL.
