Akiem Hicks is a professional football player who has had a successful career in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on November 16, 1989, in San Jose, California, and attended the University of Regina in Canada, where he played college football.
Hicks began his professional career in 2012 when he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round of the NFL Draft. He played for the Saints for three seasons, during which he recorded 6.5 sacks and 85 tackles. In 2015, Hicks was traded to the New England Patriots, where he played for just five games before being released.
After being released by the Patriots, Hicks signed with the Chicago Bears in 2016. It was with the Bears that Hicks truly began to shine as a player.
