Alain Nasreddine is a former professional ice hockey player and current coach. He was born on July 10, 1975, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Nasreddine began his hockey career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in 1992. He played for the Voltigeurs for three seasons before being drafted by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

Nasreddine made his NHL debut with the Panthers during the 1998-99 season. He played in 74 games for the Panthers over two seasons before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 2001. Nasreddine played in 23 games for the Blackhawks before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 2002. He played in 14 games for the Canadiens before being traded to the New York Islanders in 2003.

Nasreddine played in 74 games for the Islanders over two seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2004. He played in 55 games for the Penguins over two seasons before being traded to the Atlanta Thrashers in 2006. Nasreddine played in 14 games for the Thrashers before being sent down to the AHL.

Nasreddine played in the AHL for the next four seasons, playing for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, the Albany River Rats, and the San Antonio Rampage. He retired from playing professional hockey in 2010.

After retiring from playing, Nasreddine began his coaching career. He started as an assistant coach for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2010. He then became an assistant coach for the New Jersey Devils in 2015. In 2019, Nasreddine was named the interim head coach of the Devils after the firing of John Hynes. He led the team for the remainder of the season before being replaced by Lindy Ruff in 2020.

Throughout his career, Nasreddine was known for his defensive play and his ability to block shots. He was also known for his leadership and his work ethic. Nasreddine played in a total of 74 NHL games, scoring one goal and six assists. He played in a total of 571 AHL games, scoring 25 goals and 109 assists. As a coach, Nasreddine has been praised for his ability to connect with players and his attention to detail.
