Alberto Callaspo is a former professional baseball player who played primarily as an infielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He began his career in 2006 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and played for several teams throughout his career, including the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Oakland Athletics, and Atlanta Braves.

Callaspo was known for his versatility on the field, as he played multiple positions including second base, third base, and shortstop. He was also known for his ability to hit for contact, with a career batting average of .265.

In his rookie season with the Diamondbacks, Callaspo played in 41 games and hit .215 with one home run and 10 RBIs. He was traded to the Royals in 2008, where he had his best season in 2009, hitting .300 with 11 home runs and 73 RBIs.

After playing for the Royals for three seasons, Callaspo was traded to the Angels in 2010. He played for the Angels for three seasons, hitting .273 with 16 home runs and 117 RBIs. In 2013, he was traded to the Athletics, where he played for one season and hit .258 with six home runs and 39 RBIs.

Callaspo finished his career with the Braves, where he played in 50 games in 2015 and hit .206 with two home runs and 10 RBIs. He announced his retirement from baseball in 2016.
