Andy Lee is a former American football punter who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He was born on August 11, 1982, in Westminster, South Carolina, and attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Lee was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He spent the first 11 seasons of his career with the 49ers, where he established himself as one of the best punters in the league. He was named to the Pro Bowl three times (2007, 2009, and 2011) and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2007 and 2011.

In 2015, Lee was traded to the Cleveland Browns, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the Carolina Panthers in 2017. He played for the Panthers for two seasons before being released in 2019.

Throughout his career, Lee was known for his powerful leg and ability to pin opponents deep in their own territory. He finished his career with a gross punting average of 46.4 yards per punt and a net punting average of 39.5 yards per punt. He also holds the NFL record for the most punts inside the 20-yard line in a single season (42 in 2007).

Lee retired from the NFL in 2021 after a 16-year career. He finished his career with 1,143 punts for 52,537 yards and 325 punts inside the 20-yard line. He was widely regarded as one of the best punters of his generation and was a key contributor to the success of the teams he played for.
