Arron Afflalo is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for ten seasons. He was born on October 15, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, and attended Centennial High School in Compton, California. Afflalo played college basketball at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 2004 to 2007, where he was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year in his junior season.

Afflalo was selected in the first round of the 2007 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. He played for the Pistons for two seasons, from 2007 to 2009, before being traded to the Denver Nuggets.
