Sedran began his career in the American Basketball League in 1914 and played for the New York Celtics. He was a key member of the Celtics team that won the ABL championship in 1915. He then moved to the Eastern League in 1916 and played for the New York Wanderers. He was a key member of the Wanderers team that won the Eastern League championship in 1917.
