Bertrand Berry is a former American football defensive end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 12 seasons. He was born on August 15, 1975, in Humble, Texas, and attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Berry played college football at the University of Notre Dame, where he was a standout defensive end.

After graduating from college, Berry was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He spent his first two seasons with the Colts, playing in a reserve role and recording just one sack. In 1999, Berry signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for two seasons and established himself as a solid pass rusher. He recorded a career-high 11 sacks in 2000 and was named to the Pro Bowl.

In 2002, Berry signed with the Arizona Cardinals, where he would spend the majority of his career. He played for the Cardinals for seven seasons, from 2002 to 2008, and was a team captain and leader on defense. Berry was known for his speed and agility as a pass rusher, and he recorded 14.5 sacks in 2004, which was the second-highest total in the NFL that season. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career in 2004.

Berry's career was hampered by injuries in his later years, and he played in just six games in 2008 before being placed on injured reserve. He was released by the Cardinals in February 2009 and signed with the Denver Broncos later that year. Berry played in just six games for the Broncos in 2009 before announcing his retirement from the NFL.

Throughout his career, Berry was known for his work ethic and leadership on and off the field. He was a respected veteran in the locker room and was known for his dedication to his teammates and the game of football. Berry finished his career with 65.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 1997 and was a two-time Pro Bowler in 2000 and 2004.

After retiring from football, Berry worked as a television analyst for the NFL Network and as a radio host in Phoenix, Arizona. He also founded the Bertrand Berry Foundation, which provides educational and athletic opportunities for underprivileged children in Arizona. Berry is widely regarded as one of the best defensive ends of his era and is remembered for his tenacity, leadership, and dedication to the game of football.
