Billy Shaw was an American football player who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. He was known for his versatility and was one of the most successful offensive linemen in the history of the game.

Shaw was born in Corbin, Kentucky in 1934 and attended the University of Georgia, where he was an All-American in 1957. After college, he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the eighth round of the 1961 NFL Draft. He played for the Bills for eight seasons, from 1961 to 1968, and was selected to the Pro Bowl seven times. He was also named All-Pro five times and was a member of the Bills' 1964 AFL Championship team.

Shaw was known for his durability, playing in every game for the Bills from 1961 to 1967. He was also known for his leadership, serving as the team's captain from 1965 to 1967. He was a key part of the Bills' offensive line, helping the team to lead the AFL in rushing yards in 1964 and 1965.

Shaw retired after the 1968 season and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. He was also inducted into the University of Georgia's Circle of Honor in 2000.
