Brad Hand is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for several teams during his career. He was born on March 20, 1990, in Chaska, Minnesota, and attended Chaska High School. Hand was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the second round of the 2008 MLB draft and made his debut with the team in 2011.

Hand spent the majority of his early career with the Marlins, pitching as both a starter and a reliever. He struggled in his first few seasons, but began to find success in 2015 when he became a full-time reliever. In 2016, Hand was traded to the San Diego Padres, where he continued to excel as a reliever. He was named to the National League All-Star team in 2017.

In 2018, Hand was traded to the Cleveland Indians, where he became the team's closer. He recorded 34 saves that season and was named to his second All-Star team. Hand continued to pitch well for the Indians in 2019, but struggled in the shortened 2020 season. He was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2021, but was released by the team after just 11 appearances.

Throughout his career, Hand was known for his versatility as a pitcher and his ability to pitch in high-pressure situations. He finished his career with a 3.69 ERA and 105 saves.
