Braylon Edwards is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He played college football at the University of Michigan, where he was a consensus All-American and the Fred Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver in 2004. Edwards was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the third overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent three seasons with the Browns before playing for the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. Edwards was known for his size, speed, and ability to make acrobatic catches. He finished his NFL career with 359 receptions, 5,522 receiving yards, and 40 touchdown catches. Despite having a productive career, Edwards' career was also marred by off-the-field issues, including multiple arrests and legal incidents. Despite these incidents, Edwards has been involved in charity work and community service, including founding the Braylon Edwards Advanced Stats and Analytics (B.E.S.T.A) Foundation to provide resources to underprivileged students in Michigan.
