Buster Skrine is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons. He was born on April 26, 1989, in Decatur, Georgia, and attended Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia. Skrine played college football at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was a standout player and earned All-Southern Conference honors.

Skrine was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He quickly established himself as a reliable cornerback and played in all 16 games in his rookie season, starting four of them. Skrine continued to improve over the next few seasons, becoming a regular starter for the Browns and earning a reputation as a tough, physical defender.

In 2015, Skrine signed a four-year, $25 million contract with the New York Jets. He played three seasons with the Jets, starting in 43 of the 48 games he played in. Skrine was known for his versatility, playing both outside and slot cornerback positions, as well as contributing on special teams.

After his time with the Jets, Skrine signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears in 2018. He played in all 16 games for the Bears, starting in 12 of them. Skrine was a key contributor to the Bears' defense, helping them reach the playoffs that season.

Skrine played his final season in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans in 2020. He played in 12 games for the Titans, starting in two of them. Skrine announced his retirement from the NFL in April 2021, ending his ten-year career.
