Carl Braun was an American professional basketball player who had a successful career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and attended the University of Virginia, where he was a three-time All-American.

Braun was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1948 and played for them for the next 14 years.
