Chad Henne is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for over a decade. He was born on July 2, 1985, in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Michigan, where he played college football for the Wolverines.

Henne was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft and spent his first four seasons with the team. He started 31 games for the Dolphins, throwing for 7,114 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 37 interceptions. In 2012, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent the next six seasons as a backup quarterback. During his time with the Jaguars, Henne played in 48 games, starting 22 of them, and threw for 5,369 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions.

In 2018, Henne signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup to starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He played in just two games that season, completing two of his four pass attempts for 29 yards. The following year, Henne played in five games for the Chiefs, starting one of them, and threw for 216 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Henne's most notable performance with the Chiefs came in the 2020 playoffs. In the divisional round against the Cleveland Browns, Mahomes suffered a concussion and was forced to leave the game. Henne came in as his replacement and helped lead the Chiefs to a 22-17 victory, completing six of his eight pass attempts for 66 yards and a crucial first down on a fourth-down play late in the game. The following week, Henne served as the backup to Mahomes in the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl, which the Chiefs lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After the 2020 season, Henne re-signed with the Chiefs on a one-year contract. However, he was released by the team in March 2021 and has not signed with another NFL team since.

Throughout his NFL career, Henne was known for his strong arm and ability to make tough throws. He was also praised for his leadership and work ethic, serving as a mentor to younger quarterbacks on the teams he played for. While he never became a full-time starter in the league, Henne was a reliable backup quarterback who was always ready to step in and help his team when called upon.
