Chris Jones is a former American football defensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for several teams during his career. Jones played college football at Bowling Green State University and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans in 2013.

Jones spent his rookie season on the Texans' practice squad before being signed by the New England Patriots in 2014. He played in nine games for the Patriots that season, recording nine tackles and three sacks. Jones was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016, where he played in 12 games and recorded 17 tackles and one sack.

In 2017, Jones signed with the San Francisco 49ers and played in 15 games, recording 16 tackles and two sacks. He was released by the 49ers in 2018 and signed with the Detroit Lions, where he played in 15 games and recorded 22 tackles and five sacks.

Jones signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 and played in 14 games, recording 21 tackles and three sacks. He was released by the Vikings in 2020 and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he played in eight games and recorded 14 tackles and one sack before being released in November.

Throughout his career, Jones was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions on the defensive line. He was also known for his high motor and relentless pursuit of the quarterback. Despite going undrafted, Jones was able to carve out a successful career in the NFL and was a valuable contributor to several teams.
