Corey Brewer is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for over a decade. He was born on March 5, 1986, in Portland, Tennessee, and attended the University of Florida, where he played college basketball for the Florida Gators.

Brewer was selected seventh overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2007 NBA draft. He played for the Timberwolves for three seasons before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2010. He played for the Mavericks for one season before being traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2011. He played for the Nuggets for two seasons before being traded back to the Timberwolves in 2013. He played for the Timberwolves for one season before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2014. He played for the Rockets for one season before being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2015. He played for the Lakers for one season before being traded to the Chicago Bulls in 2016. He played for the Bulls for one season before being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017. He played for the Thunder for one season before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018. He played for the 76ers for one season before being waived in 2019. He then signed with the Sacramento Kings for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. He played for the Kings for one season before being waived in 2020.

Throughout his career, Brewer was known for his defensive skills and his ability to score in transition. He was a two-time NCAA champion with the Florida Gators in 2006 and 2007 and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 NCAA Tournament. He was also a member of the United States men's national basketball team that won the gold medal at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.

Brewer's best season in the NBA came in 2013-14 when he played for the Timberwolves. He averaged 12.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 48.1% from the field and 34.6% from three-point range. He also set a career-high with 51 points in a game against the Houston Rockets on April 11, 2014.

Brewer retired from professional basketball in 2020 after playing for 12 seasons in the NBA. He finished his career with averages of 8.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 42.5% from the field and 28.0% from three-point range.
