Daniel Taylor is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who played for various teams throughout his career. He began his career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Guelph Storm in 2003, where he played for three seasons. In 2004, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh round of the NHL Entry Draft.

Taylor spent several years playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the ECHL before making his NHL debut with the Kings in 2008. He played in two games for the Kings before being traded to the New York Islanders later that year. He did not play any games for the Islanders and was subsequently traded to the Manchester Monarchs, the Kings' AHL affiliate.

Taylor played for the Monarchs for several seasons, becoming one of the team's top goaltenders. He was named the AHL's Goaltender of the Month in December 2010 and was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game in 2011. In 2012, he signed with the Abbotsford Heat, the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.

Taylor played for the Heat for two seasons before signing with the Nottingham Panthers of the British Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) in 2014. He played for the Panthers for one season before returning to North America to play for the Portland Pirates of the AHL.

In 2016, Taylor signed with the HC Fribourg-Gottéron of the Swiss National League A (NLA). He played for the team for two seasons before signing with the SønderjyskE Ishockey of the Danish Metal Ligaen in 2018. He played for the team for one season before announcing his retirement from professional hockey in 2019.

Throughout his career, Taylor was known for his strong goaltending skills and his ability to make key saves in crucial moments. He was also known for his work ethic and his dedication to the sport. Despite never becoming a full-time NHL player, Taylor had a successful career in professional hockey and was respected by his teammates and opponents alike.
