Danny Belisle was a Canadian ice hockey player who had a successful career in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the World Hockey Association (WHA). He was born on September 27, 1945, in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada.

Belisle began his professional career in 1966 with the Montreal Canadiens, where he played for two seasons. He then played for the Detroit Red Wings for two seasons before being traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1970. Belisle played for the Kings for four seasons and was known for his physical play and his ability to score goals.

In 1974, Belisle joined the WHA and played for the San Diego Mariners for two seasons. He then played for the Edmonton Oilers for two seasons before retiring from professional hockey in 1978.

Belisle was known for his toughness on the ice and was often involved in fights with other players. He was also a skilled scorer and had a career total of 123 goals and 144 assists in 535 NHL games. In the WHA, he scored 54 goals and had 70 assists in 221 games.

After retiring from hockey, Belisle worked as a scout for the NHL's Quebec Nordiques and later for the Colorado Avalanche. He also coached minor league hockey teams in Canada.
