Devin McCourty is a former American football player who played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on August 13, 1987, in Nyack, New York, and attended Rutgers University, where he played college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
McCourty was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and he spent his entire professional career with the team. He quickly established himself as a key player on the Patriots' defense, earning a reputation as a hard-hitting safety with excellent coverage skills.
Over the course of his career, McCourty was named to the Pro Bowl twice (2010, 2016) and was a two-time Second-Team All-Pro selection (2013, 2019). He was also a member of three Super Bowl-winning teams with the Patriots, winning Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl LI, and Super Bowl LIII.
