Doug Marrone is a former American football player and coach who has had a successful career in the sport. After a brief stint as the assistant head coach and offensive line coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Marrone was promoted to interim head coach in 2016. He led the team to a 1-1 record in the final two games of the season, and he was named the permanent head coach in 2017. Marrone led the Jaguars to the AFC Championship Game in his first season as head coach, but the team has struggled in the years since. He was fired by the Jaguars in January 2021 after the team finished the season with a 1-15 record.
