Drew Hutchison is a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 22, 1990, in Lakeland, Florida, and attended Lakeland Senior High School. Hutchison was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 15th round of the 2009 MLB draft and began his professional career in the minor leagues.

Hutchison made his MLB debut on April 21, 2012, for the Toronto Blue Jays. He pitched five innings, allowing two runs and striking out four batters. Hutchison spent most of the 2012 season in the minor leagues but returned to the Blue Jays in 2013. He had a strong start to the season, winning his first two games and striking out nine batters in his second start. However, Hutchison struggled in the second half of the season and finished with a 5-3 record and a 4.60 ERA.

In 2014, Hutchison became a regular member of the Blue Jays' starting rotation. He had a solid season, finishing with an 11-13 record and a 4.48 ERA. Hutchison's best game of the season came on August 6, when he pitched a complete game shutout against the Texas Rangers, allowing only three hits and striking out eight batters.

Hutchison struggled in 2015, finishing with a 13-5 record and a 5.57 ERA. He was demoted to the minor leagues in August but returned to the Blue Jays in September and pitched well in relief. Hutchison did not make the Blue Jays' postseason roster but was still awarded a World Series ring when the team won the championship.

In 2016, Hutchison was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He spent most of the season in the minor leagues but made nine appearances for the Pirates, including five starts. Hutchison struggled in his time with the Pirates, finishing with a 5.56 ERA.

Hutchison signed with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2017 but spent most of the season in the minor leagues. He made three appearances for the Phillies, including one start, and finished with a 9.00 ERA. Hutchison became a free agent after the season and signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers.

Hutchison spent most of the 2018 season in the minor leagues but made two appearances for the Rangers, including one start. He finished with a 6.75 ERA. Hutchison became a free agent after the season and signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees.

Hutchison spent most of the 2019 season in the minor leagues but made three appearances for the Yankees, including one start. He finished with a 6.75 ERA. Hutchison became a free agent after the season and signed a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins.

Hutchison spent the 2020 season in the Marlins' minor league system but did not make any appearances in the major leagues. He became a free agent after the season and signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Hutchison made his first appearance for the Cardinals on April 4, 2021, pitching two innings in relief. He made two more appearances for the Cardinals before being designated for assignment on April 12. Hutchison became a free agent and did not sign with another team for the rest of the season.
