Evan Turner is a former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for nine seasons. He was born on October 27, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, and attended St. Joseph High School in Westchester, Illinois. Turner played college basketball at Ohio State University, where he was named the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year in 2010.

Turner was selected as the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Turner played for the Timberwolves for one season before being traded to the Atlanta Hawks again in 2020. However, he was waived by the Hawks shortly after the trade and did not play for the remainder of the season.

Throughout his career, Turner was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions. He was also a solid defender and a good passer. However, he struggled with consistency and was often criticized for his shooting.
