Fred Hucul was a Canadian ice hockey player who played as a left winger for various teams during his career. He was born on December 23, 1934, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Hucul began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Edmonton Flyers in the 1950s. He played for the Flyers for three seasons before being traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 1956.

Hucul played for the Canucks for two seasons before being traded to the Detroit Red Wings in 1958. He played for the Red Wings for two seasons before being traded to the Boston Bruins in 1960. Hucul played for the Bruins for one season before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1961.

Hucul played for the Blackhawks for four seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1965. He played for the Penguins for two seasons before being traded to the St. Louis Blues in 1967. Hucul played for the Blues for one season before retiring from professional hockey in 1968.
