Gerry Odrowski was a professional ice hockey player who played as a defenseman. He was born on November 2, 1942, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Odrowski began his hockey career in the minor leagues, playing for the Winnipeg Braves of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He then moved on to play for the Winnipeg Warriors of the Western Hockey League.

In 1964, Odrowski signed with the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Red Wings for two seasons before being traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1966. Odrowski played for the Penguins for three seasons before being traded to the St. Louis Blues in 1969.

Odrowski played for the Blues for four seasons and was a key member of the team's defense. He helped the Blues reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 1970 and 1972, but they lost both times. In 1973, Odrowski was traded to the New York Rangers, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the Los Angeles Kings in 1975.

Odrowski played for the Kings for one season before retiring from professional hockey in 1976. Over the course of his career, he played in 542 NHL games, scoring 22 goals and 89 assists for a total of 111 points. He was known for his physical play and his ability to shut down opposing teams' top scorers.

After retiring from hockey, Odrowski worked as a scout for the Kings and later for the Buffalo Sabres. He also coached youth hockey in the Los Angeles area. Odrowski passed away on December 22, 2016, at the age of 74. He is remembered as a tough and reliable defenseman who played with passion and dedication.
