Greg Biekert is a former American football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for over a decade. He was born on July 1, 1970, in Elk Grove, California, and attended Elk Grove High School, where he played football and was named All-Metro and All-State.

Biekert went on to play college football at the University of Colorado, where he was a four-year starter and a two-time All-Big Eight selection. He finished his college career with 443 tackles, which ranks third all-time in Colorado history.

After college, Biekert was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Raiders in 1993. He spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad before being promoted to the active roster in 1994. Biekert quickly established himself as a reliable and consistent player, starting 16 games in his second season and leading the team in tackles with 129.

Biekert played for the Raiders for nine seasons, from 1993 to 2001. During his time with the team, he was a key member of the defense and was known for his toughness and leadership on the field. He started 123 games for the Raiders and recorded 799 tackles, 10 sacks, and 5 interceptions.

In 2002, Biekert signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent. He played one season with the team, starting all 16 games and recording 103 tackles. However, the Vikings struggled that season, finishing with a 6-10 record, and Biekert was released by the team in the offseason.

Biekert then signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2003 but was released before the start of the regular season. He retired from football shortly after and began a career in coaching.

After retiring from football, Biekert worked as a high school football coach in California before joining the coaching staff at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2010. He spent six seasons at UNLV, coaching linebackers and serving as the team's defensive coordinator in his final season.

In 2016, Biekert was hired as the linebackers coach for the Tennessee Titans, where he worked for two seasons before being let go in 2018. He then returned to UNLV as the team's defensive coordinator for the 2019 season.
