Jarred Tinordi is a former professional ice hockey player who played as a defenseman. He was born on February 20, 1992, in Burnsville, Minnesota, and grew up in a family of hockey players. His father, Mark Tinordi, played in the NHL for over a decade, and his brother, Josh Tinordi, also played professional hockey.

Jarred Tinordi began his hockey career in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the U.S. National Team Development Program. He played for two seasons with the program, during which he was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team and the USHL First All-Star Team.

In 2010, Tinordi was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, 22nd overall. He then played for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for two seasons, during which he was named to the OHL Second All-Star Team and won the OHL championship in 2012.

Tinordi made his NHL debut with the Canadiens in 2013, playing in eight games during the regular season and two games in the playoffs. He spent most of the next two seasons playing for the Canadiens' AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs, before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes in January 2016.

Tinordi played for the Coyotes for the remainder of the 2015-16 season and part of the 2016-17 season before being claimed off waivers by the Nashville Predators in March 2017. He played in 31 games for the Predators during the 2016-17 season, helping the team reach the Stanley Cup Final.

After spending the 2017-18 season in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, Tinordi signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins in July 2018. He played in 20 games for the Penguins during the 2018-19 season, scoring one goal and two assists.

Tinordi then signed a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins in October 2020. He played in 28 games for the Bruins during the 2020-21 season, scoring one goal and three assists. He also played in five playoff games for the Bruins, helping the team reach the second round.

In August 2021, Tinordi signed a two-year contract with the Washington Capitals. He played in 31 games for the Capitals during the 2021-22 season, scoring one goal and two assists. He also played in three playoff games for the Capitals, who were eliminated in the first round.

In June 2022, Tinordi announced his retirement from professional hockey at the age of 30. He played in a total of 142 NHL games over nine seasons, scoring two goals and eight assists. He also played in 22 playoff games, reaching the Stanley Cup Final with the Predators in 2017.
