Johnny Neumann was an American professional basketball player who had a successful career in the 1970s. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee and attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a two-time All-American. Neumann was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972 and played for the team for two seasons. He then moved to the American Basketball Association (ABA) and played for the Memphis Tams and the San Diego Sails.

Neumann was known for his scoring ability and was one of the top scorers in the ABA. He was a three-time ABA All-Star and was named to the All-ABA Second Team in 1975. He was also a member of the 1975 ABA champion Kentucky Colonels. Neumann was known for his ability to score from anywhere on the court and was a great shooter from long range. He was also an excellent passer and was able to create scoring opportunities for his teammates.

Neumann's career ended in 1978 when he was traded to the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. He played in the NBA for two seasons before retiring in 1980. Neumann finished his career with an impressive scoring average of 19.2 points per game. He was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
