Jonas Andersson is a former professional ice hockey player from Sweden who played as a forward. He began his career in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with Färjestad BK in 1998 and played there until 2002. During his time with Färjestad BK, he won two SHL championships in 1998 and 2002.

Andersson then moved to North America to play in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Nashville Predators. He played for the Predators for two seasons from 2002 to 2004, scoring 11 goals and 13 assists in 94 games. He then played for the New York Rangers for one season in 2005-2006, scoring 4 goals and 5 assists in 38 games.

After his stint in the NHL, Andersson returned to Sweden to play for HV71 in the SHL. He played for HV71 for four seasons from 2006 to 2010, winning two SHL championships in 2008 and 2010. During his time with HV71, he was also named the SHL playoff MVP in 2008.

Andersson then returned to North America to play in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Grand Rapids Griffins, the AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Griffins for one season in 2010-2011, scoring 9 goals and 16 assists in 75 games.

After his season with the Griffins, Andersson retired from professional hockey in 2011. In total, he played 132 games in the NHL, scoring 15 goals and 18 assists. He also played 447 games in the SHL, scoring 97 goals and 124 assists.

Throughout his career, Andersson was known for his strong two-way play and his ability to contribute offensively and defensively. He was also a strong leader on and off the ice, serving as captain for both Färjestad BK and HV71.

In addition to his professional career, Andersson also represented Sweden internationally. He played for Sweden in the 2002 and 2003 World Junior Championships, winning a silver medal in 2002. He also played for Sweden in the 2008 and 2009 World Championships, winning a gold medal in 2006 and a silver medal in 2009.
