Josh Norman is a former American football cornerback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for several teams. He was born on December 15, 1987, in Greenwood, South Carolina, and attended Coastal Carolina University, where he played college football for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.

Norman was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played for the Panthers from 2012 to 2015, where he became one of the best cornerbacks in the league. In 2015, he was named to the Pro Bowl and was also named First-Team All-Pro. He helped lead the Panthers to Super Bowl 50, where they lost to the Denver Broncos.

After the 2015 season, Norman became a free agent and signed a five-year, $75 million contract with the Washington Redskins (now known as the Washington Football Team). He played for the Redskins from 2016 to 2019, where he continued to be a solid cornerback. In 2019, he was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career.

In 2020, Norman signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills. He played in 9 games for the Bills, recording 24 tackles, 1 interception, and 3 passes defended. He also had a memorable moment in a game against the Arizona Cardinals, where he attempted to jump over Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins but was instead stiff-armed to the ground.

After the 2020 season, Norman became a free agent again and signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in 7 games for the 49ers, recording 13 tackles and 1 interception.

Overall, Norman had a successful NFL career, playing for four different teams and being named to the Pro Bowl twice. He was known for his physicality and aggressive play style, which sometimes led to penalties and fines. Despite this, he was still considered one of the best cornerbacks in the league during his prime.
