Karlos Dansby is a former American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons. He was born on November 3, 1981, in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Woodlawn High School, where he played football as a linebacker and tight end.
Dansby went on to play college football at Auburn University, where he was a standout linebacker for the Auburn Tigers. He was named to the All-SEC team twice and was a consensus All-American in 2003.
Dansby was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals for six seasons, from 2004 to 2009, and was a key member of the team's defense during that time. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2009 and helped lead the Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII, where they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After his time with the Cardinals, Dansby played for several other NFL teams, including the Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals. He continued to be a productive player throughout his career, earning additional Pro Bowl selections in 2013 and 2014.
