Kim Hughes is a former professional basketball player who had a successful career spanning over three decades. He was a two-time All-American at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 1976 NBA Draft.

Throughout his professional career, Hughes played for the Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Detroit Pistons, the Seattle SuperSonics, and the San Antonio Spurs. He was a two-time NBA All-Star and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 1983.
