Kyle Davies is a former professional baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for over a decade. He was born on September 9, 1983, in Decatur, Georgia, and attended Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Davies was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the fourth round of the 2001 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Braves in 2005 at the age of 21. He played for the Braves for four seasons, from 2005 to 2007 and again in 2011. During his time with the Braves, Davies had a record of 14-21 with an ERA of 6.15.

In 2007, Davies was traded to the Kansas City Royals, where he played for four seasons, from 2007 to 2010. During his time with the Royals, Davies had a record of 24-36 with an ERA of 5.34. He was known for his fastball, which could reach up to 95 miles per hour, and his curveball.

After leaving the Royals, Davies played for several teams in the minor leagues, including the Texas Rangers, the Cleveland Indians, and the Minnesota Twins. He also played in the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO) for the Samsung Lions in 2013 and 2014. During his time in the KBO, Davies had a record of 17-12 with an ERA of 3.82.

Davies returned to the MLB in 2015, signing a minor league contract with the New York Yankees. However, he did not make it to the major league roster and was released by the Yankees in June 2015. He then signed with the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, where he played for the remainder of the 2015 season.

Overall, Davies had a career record of 43-65 with an ERA of 5.59 in the MLB. He played in 144 games, starting 144 of them, and pitched a total of 793 innings. He struck out 523 batters and walked 347.

After retiring from baseball, Davies became a coach and instructor. He founded the Kyle Davies Baseball Academy in McDonough, Georgia, where he teaches young players the skills and techniques he learned during his career. He also works as a pitching coach for the Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
