Len Elmore is a former professional basketball player who had a successful career in the NBA. He was a three-time All-American at the University of Maryland and was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 1975 NBA Draft. He played for the Pacers for two seasons before being traded to the Kansas City Kings. He then played for the Kings for two seasons before being traded to the New York Knicks. He played for the Knicks for two seasons before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He played for the Bucks for two seasons before being traded to the New Jersey Nets. He played for the Nets for two seasons before being traded to the Washington Bullets. He played for the Bullets for two seasons before retiring in 1984.

Throughout his career, Elmore was known for his defensive prowess and was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1979. He was also a two-time NBA All-Star in 1979 and 1980. He was a key member of the Bullets team that reached the NBA Finals in 1979 and 1981. He was also a member of the USA Basketball team that won the gold medal at the 1975 Pan American Games.

Elmore was inducted into the University of Maryland Athletic Hall of Fame in 1988 and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. He is currently a college basketball analyst for ESPN and CBS Sports. He is also a successful businessman and philanthropist.
