Lorenzo Alexander is a former American football linebacker who played for several teams during his career in the National Football League (NFL). He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2005 but was released before the start of the regular season. He then signed with the Baltimore Ravens and played for them until 2008.

In 2009, Alexander signed with the Washington Redskins, where he played for six seasons. During his time with the Redskins, he played primarily on special teams but also saw some playing time on defense. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2012 as a special teams player.

After his time with the Redskins, Alexander signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2015. He played for the Cardinals for two seasons and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2016 as a linebacker. In 2017, he signed with the Buffalo Bills, where he played for three seasons. During his time with the Bills, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2019 as a linebacker.

Throughout his career, Alexander was known for his versatility and ability to play multiple positions on defense and special teams. He was also known for his leadership and community involvement, earning him the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2018.

In January 2020, Alexander announced his retirement from the NFL after 15 seasons. He finished his career with 485 tackles, 33 sacks, and 12 forced fumbles. He also scored two touchdowns on defense and one on special teams.
