Lucas Luetge is a left-handed pitcher who has played for several teams in Major League Baseball (MLB) during his career. He was born on February 24, 1987, in Brenham, Texas, and attended Bellville High School. After graduating, he went to Rice University, where he played college baseball for the Rice Owls.

Luetge was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 21st round of the 2008 MLB draft. He spent several years in the Brewers' minor league system before being traded to the Seattle Mariners in 2012. He made his MLB debut with the Mariners on April 7, 2012, and pitched in 63 games for the team that season. He had a 3.98 earned run average (ERA) and struck out 38 batters in 47.0 innings pitched.

Luetge spent the next few years bouncing between the Mariners and their minor league affiliates. He also played for the Texas Rangers and the Cincinnati Reds in the minors during this time. He did not pitch in the majors in 2016 or 2017.

In 2018, Luetge signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks and played for their Triple-A team, the Reno Aces. He had a 3.98 ERA in 47 games for the Aces that season. He did not pitch in the majors in 2018 or 2019.

Luetge signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees in 2020 and was invited to spring training. He did not make the team out of camp and was assigned to their alternate training site. He did not pitch in the majors in 2020.

In 2021, Luetge signed another minor league contract with the Yankees and was invited to spring training again. This time, he made the team out of camp and was added to the Yankees' 40-man roster. He made his first appearance for the team on April 6, 2021, and pitched in 41 games for the Yankees that season. He had a 2.13 ERA and struck out 50 batters in 38.0 innings pitched.

Luetge became a free agent after the 2021 season and has not signed with a team as of this writing. He has a career 4.28 ERA in 104 games pitched in the majors.
