Mark Lowe is a former professional baseball pitcher who played for several teams during his career. He was born on June 7, 1983, in Houston, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington.

Lowe was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fifth round of the 2004 MLB draft and made his major league debut with the team in 2006. He spent four seasons with the Mariners, primarily as a relief pitcher, before being traded to the Texas Rangers in 2010.

With the Rangers, Lowe played a key role in their run to the World Series that year, appearing in 11 postseason games and posting a 1.13 ERA. He remained with the Rangers for two more seasons before being traded to the Los Angeles Angels in 2012.

Lowe struggled with injuries during his time with the Angels and was released by the team in 2013. He then signed with the Cleveland Indians and had a strong season in 2014, posting a 1.96 ERA in 49 innings pitched.

After a brief stint with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015, Lowe signed with the Detroit Tigers for the 2016 season. He struggled with the Tigers, however, posting a 7.11 ERA in 49 appearances before being released in August.

Lowe announced his retirement from baseball in November 2016, ending a 12-year career in the major leagues. Over the course of his career, he appeared in 384 games and had a 4.22 ERA with 384 strikeouts.
