Mark Olberding is a former American professional basketball player who had a successful career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 1976 NBA Draft. Olberding was a 6'7" forward who was known for his strong rebounding and defensive skills. He was a key contributor to the Spurs' success in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Olberding was a two-time All-Star and was named to the All-Defensive Second Team in 1982. He was also a member of the Spurs' 1979 NBA Championship team. Olberding was a consistent double-double threat, averaging double-digit points and rebounds in each of his 11 seasons in the NBA. He was also a reliable free-throw shooter, shooting over 80% from the line in six of his 11 seasons.

Olberding was traded to the Detroit Pistons in 1987 and retired shortly after. He finished his career with averages of 11.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He was inducted into the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
