Mel Daniels was an American professional basketball player who had a successful career in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was a three-time All-Star and a two-time NBA champion.
Daniels was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in 1968 and was immediately traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played for the Timberwolves for two seasons before being traded to the Indiana Pacers
