Mike Haynes is a legendary football player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive backs in NFL history. He was selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 1976 NFL Draft and quickly became one of the most feared defensive backs in the league. He was known for his hard-hitting style of play and his ability to shut down opposing receivers.

During his 12-year career, Haynes was selected to nine Pro Bowls, was named to the All-Pro team six times, and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1982. He was also a member of the NFL's 1980s All-Decade Team.
