Mike Horan is a former American football punter who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. He was born on March 21, 1960, in Apple Valley, California, and attended Green Valley High School in Henderson, Nevada. Horan played college football at Long Beach State University, where he was a standout punter.
Horan was selected by the New York Giants in the ninth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. He spent his first four seasons with the Giants, where he established himself as one of the league's top punters. In 1987, he helped the Giants win Super Bowl XXI, punting six times for an average of 42.8 yards per punt in the game.
