Nate Guenin is a retired American professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams during his career. Guenin began his hockey career playing for the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before moving on to play for Ohio State University in the NCAA. After college, Guenin signed with the Philadelphia Flyers as an undrafted free agent in 2006.

Guenin spent the majority of his early professional career playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) for various teams, including the Philadelphia Phantoms, Syracuse Crunch, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. He made his NHL debut in 2006 with the Flyers, but only played in two games before being sent back down to the AHL.

Over the course of his career, Guenin played for several NHL teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Anaheim Ducks, and Colorado Avalanche. He was known for his physical play and defensive abilities, often being used as a shutdown defenseman. Guenin played in a total of 205 NHL games, scoring two goals and 23 assists.

In addition to his NHL career, Guenin also represented the United States in international play. He played for the US at the 2002 IIHF World Junior Championships and the 2011 IIHF World Championships.

Guenin retired from professional hockey in 2017 and has since become involved in coaching. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the University of Vermont men's ice hockey team.
