Nathan Gerbe is a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for several teams. He was born on July 24, 1987, in Oxford, Michigan, and began his hockey career playing for the Boston College Eagles in the NCAA.

Gerbe was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Sabres in 2008 and played with the team until 2013. During his time with the Sabres, Gerbe was known for his speed and agility on the ice, as well as his ability to score goals. He scored a career-high 16 goals in the 2010-2011 season and was a key player for the Sabres during their playoff run that year.

After leaving the Sabres, Gerbe played for several other NHL teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes and the Columbus Blue Jackets. He also spent time playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) for the Rochester Americans and the Cleveland Monsters.
