Ollie Matson was an American football player who had a successful career in the National Football League (NFL). He was born in Trinity, Texas, and attended San Francisco City College. Matson was a two-time All-American and was the first player to be drafted in the first round by two different teams.

Matson was selected by the Chicago Cardinals in the 1952 NFL Draft and played for them until 1958. During his time with the Cardinals, he was selected to the Pro Bowl five times and was named All-Pro four times. He also led the league in rushing yards in 1956 and was named the NFL Player of the Year in 1954.
