Randy Velischek is a former professional ice hockey player who played as a defenseman in the National Hockey League (NHL) for ten seasons. He was born on February 12, 1962, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and began his hockey career playing for the Verdun Eperviers of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) in 1978.

Velischek was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 1984-85 season and played for the Devils for four seasons. He was then traded to the Minnesota North Stars, where he played for two seasons before being traded to the Quebec Nordiques.

Velischek played for the Nordiques for two seasons before being traded to the New York Islanders, where he played for two seasons before retiring from professional hockey in 1994. During his NHL career, Velischek played in 563 games, scoring 24 goals and 107 assists for a total of 131 points.
