Randy Winn is a former Major League Baseball player who played for several teams during his career. He was born on June 9, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, and attended San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, California. Winn was a standout athlete in high school, excelling in both baseball and basketball.

After graduating from high school, Winn attended Santa Clara University, where he played baseball for the Broncos. He was a three-time All-West Coast Conference selection and was named the conference's Player of the Year in 1995. Winn was also a standout basketball player at Santa Clara, earning All-WCC honors in 1994 and 1995.

Winn was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the third round of the 1995 MLB draft. He spent several years in the Marlins' minor league system before making his MLB debut with the team in 1998. Winn played in 54 games for the Marlins that season, hitting .306 with two home runs and 18 RBI.

After the 1998 season, Winn was traded to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He played for the Devil Rays for three seasons, hitting .300 or better in each of those seasons. Winn was traded to the San Francisco Giants in 2006, where he played for two seasons. He was then traded to the New York Yankees in 2008, where he played for the remainder of the season. Winn finished his career with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2010.
