Raymond Felton is a retired American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 14 seasons. He was born on June 26, 1984, in Marion, South Carolina, and attended Latta High School, where he played basketball and football. Felton was a standout basketball player in high school and was named South Carolina's Mr. Basketball in 2002.

After high school, Felton attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he played college basketball for the Tar Heels. He played for three seasons at UNC and helped lead the team to the NCAA championship in 2005. Felton was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four that year.

In 2005, Felton was selected by the Charlotte Bobcats with the fifth overall pick in the NBA draft. He played for the Bobcats for five seasons and was a starting point guard for the team. Felton was known for his quickness, ball-handling skills, and ability to score from the perimeter. He averaged 13.3 points, 6.4 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game during his time with the Bobcats.

In 2010, Felton was traded to the New York Knicks, where he played for two seasons. He had a solid first season with the Knicks, averaging 17.1 points and 9.0 assists per game. However, his production dropped off in his second season, and he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in 2012.

Felton played for the Trail Blazers for one season before being traded back to the Knicks in 2013. He played for the Knicks for one more season before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2014. Felton played for the Mavericks for two seasons and was a backup point guard for the team.

In 2016, Felton signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he played for one season. He then signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2017 and played for two seasons. Felton was a backup point guard for the Thunder and provided veteran leadership and scoring off the bench.

Felton retired from the NBA in 2019 after playing for 14 seasons. He finished his career with averages of 11.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. Felton was known for his toughness, leadership, and ability to play both point guard and shooting guard positions. He was also a solid three-point shooter, making 34.3% of his attempts from beyond the arc during his career.
