Sammy Morris is a former American football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for over a decade. Morris began his football career at Texas Tech University, where he played for four years and set several school records. He was then drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

Morris spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Bills, primarily as a backup running back and special teams player. In 2004, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent and became their starting running back. Morris had a breakout season in 2005, rushing for over 1,000 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. Morris continued to play for the Patriots over the next few seasons, serving as a backup to star running back Laurence Maroney.
